10 reasons a sailmaker selects Zeptyr Membranes

  1. They are continual fibre membranes so no weak cut fibre joins across panels
  2. The polymer used to laminate the base, cover and fibre is reactive so it won’t delaminate. The more the membrane flexes the more the polymer adheres to the laminates.
  3. The sail shape and outline are you own design. We use a program that will calculate the fibre passes when you send us your panel file to cut. This ensures that your sail shape is maintained through out the process.
  4. The membrane arrives in one piece and spread ready for you to do the edges, corners and hardware. We can laminate them with internal batten pockets. We can also help you with batten end templates to speed up construction.
  5. You will save time by not having to cut and join the panels and corner patches. This will put more profit in your pocket. It will also allow you to make more sails each year. Build time for a Genoa can be reduce by 65% and a mainsail will reduce by 50%.
  6. Zeptyr membranes are extremely flexible so you don’t need a big space when building them. This means you can construct sails for much larger yachts. Your sail loft can accommodate larger sizes than it would if it were a conventional tri-radial or membrane.
  7. Zeptyr membranes are very light and have been built for many years with no lamination issues.
  8. Zeptyr has been proven around the world on many different yachts and catamarans.
  9. Zeptyr can be built in scrim, single taffeta, or double taffeta configurations. Custom configurations are also possible. These options make it a great membrane for racing or cruising.
  10. The Zeptyr membranes are flexible. They can be folded up into economical sized boxes for shipping anywhere in the world.
