Z72 Membrane Genoa, Z72 Membrane Jib and Z72 Membrane Mainsail

If you are after the ultimate lightweight, high-performance Genoa, Jib, or Mainsail for local club or offshore racing, look no further than our Z72 Membrane range.

The main difference between a Zeptyr Membrane and off-the-shelf fabrics is that we control the fibre density, placement, and orientation throughout the sail. This saves significant weight and locks the sail in an optimised shape.

We use high-tech fibres like Twaron, Dyneema, Carbon, and other ultra-high molecular weight low-stretch fibres combined with ultralight skins like Mylar and ultra-flexible adhesives. The membranes are completed by lamination under high pressure to ensure a complete structural bond.

While some membrane manufacturers lay their cloth in flat panels and shape the edges to create the 3D shape. As a result, they do not offer ‘true continuous fibre’ solutions. At Zeptyr, we lay our fibres directly onto the pre-shaped sail mould, ensuring a genuinely smooth aerodynamic profile.
